Smart scheduling
Smart Solver Engine
An industrial-grade optimization engine finds optimal schedules that no human could compute by hand.
Multiple schedule variants
Get several equally valid timetable options ranked by quality — you choose the one that fits best.
Extremely fast results Tokens
Free runs at standard speed; Tokens deliver every schedule extremely fast, the moment it is computed.
Fine-grained control
Priority scoring Tokens
Assign priority scores 1–10 per student. The solver gives more weight to high-priority bookings.
Per-weekday start times Tokens
Prefer an early start on some days and a late start on others — set the day-edge preference individually for each weekday.
Reliability-aware placement Tokens
Flag students whose lessons often drop out; the solver tucks them at the edge of the day, so a cancellation just shortens the day instead of leaving a gap.
Collecting availability
Student availability grid
Students fill in their own availability with a drag-to-draw interface, right on your WordPress site.
Teacher availability grid
Draw your own available time slots on the same drag-to-draw grid — the solver only ever places lessons inside them.
Weekly schedule preview
An at-a-glance weekly view of the active schedule, plus an automatic email every Sunday evening summarizing the week ahead.
Calendar & lesson swap
Calendar sync
Every booked lesson syncs straight into your own calendar app — or skip self-hosting entirely with our fully managed calendar option.
Lesson swap
Let students trade lesson slots with each other within the rules you set — no manual re-scheduling on your end.
Billing & offers
Student ledger & balances
See every student's euro and lesson-token balance, transaction history, and applied discounts in one table.
Bookable trial offers
Email a prospective student a bookable offer for a specific slot and price; they accept online and it lands straight on your calendar.
Token balance & top-up
One place to check your pay-per-use token balance and top up — strictly Free vs. Tokens, never a subscription.
Invoicing & contracts
Invoicing & e-invoices
Create invoices manually or straight from an accepted offer, track what is still open, and browse the full archive — e-invoicing ready.
Digital contracts & signatures
Students review and sign their lesson contract online; the signature is stored encrypted, no printing or scanning required.
Financial & tax reports
An annual report, a daily cash-flow summary, and a simplified profit-and-loss statement (EÜR) — ready whenever your tax return is due.
Communication
Branded email templates
Put your own logo and colors on every automated email — invitations, reminders, invoices — instead of generic default styling.
Newsletter auto-subscribe
Optionally add a student to your newsletter automatically once their contract is complete — one toggle, fully optional.
Temporary notice board
Post an announcement like "no lessons this week" — it shows up automatically and disappears again at the expiry date you set.
Your school, your site
Student roster & priorities
One roster for every student, with a 1–10 priority score and a reliability flag the solver factors in when it builds the next schedule.
Custom branding
Match colors and visual style to your own brand on every page your students see.
WordPress-native
Installs as a standard WordPress plugin. Everything lives in your existing site — no separate external service to manage.
Privacy has its own dedicated page →
From zero to timetable in four steps
Students enter their availability
Each student opens the shortcode page on your site and drags their free time slots. They can also mark preferred times.
You review & assign priorities
The admin dashboard shows all submissions at a glance. Assign priority scores to students who need premium slots.
The solver runs
One click exports the data and starts the solver engine. It generates multiple ranked schedule variants — typically about 3 to 10 minutes on the free plan, faster with a token pack.
Pick your favourite & publish
Import the best schedule back into WordPress. Students instantly see their assigned lesson time on your site.

| Price Tokens are pay-per-use, not a subscription — you only pay for what you actually use. Other providers have multiple paid tiers between their free plan and their top plan; occasional use with us is often cheaper, frequent or large-scale use can add up to more over time, since there's no fixed price ceiling like with those plans. | Free, tokens for extras (usage-based) | Free (with ads) to €29/year | Free |

| Compact teacher schedules (gap minimization) The solver actively avoids gaps between a teacher's lessons on the same day, producing a tighter, less fragmented daily schedule. | ✓ | ✗ | ✗ |
| Fair, staggered reduction when seats run out If not everyone fits, lower-priority students each lose one lesson in turn — spreading the shortfall evenly — instead of one student losing everything. | ✓ | ✗ | ✗ |

Three levels of data protection
The plugin itself is always free to install. The only thing you choose is where the scheduling computation runs — and that is what changes your data protection level.
Common for scheduling tools that store your data on US servers, under a patchwork of sector laws instead of one comprehensive privacy standard.
- No GDPR guarantee
- Subject to US surveillance law
Not us — shown for comparison.
No installation, no server to set up or maintain — we run the solver for you, under GDPR, with a Data Processing Agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) available on request.

- Pay only for what you use — tokens
Run the WordPress plugin on infrastructure you control. Your roster stays on your own server; only pseudonymous student IDs go to our solver for the computation itself.

Tell us your school size and how often you rebuild timetables — we'll recommend a pack, with its price. Tokens never expire, so buying a year at a time is fine.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a developer to install this?
No. stundenplan-berechnen.de installs like any other WordPress plugin — upload the ZIP, activate, and follow the setup wizard.
Is there a limit on the number of students in the free plan?
No. The free plan has no student limit and never expires — it solves with the "Balanced Load" scenario at standard solver effort, which is enough for most schools. Token packs only unlock extra features (higher effort levels, custom scenarios, student priority); they do not gate how many students you can schedule.
What is a token and how many do I need?
A token corresponds to a fixed amount of solver computation time (roughly 10 seconds). Token-funded solves — higher effort levels, custom scenarios, or student priority — consume tokens from your balance depending on how long the solver runs. Tokens never expire and unused tokens carry over indefinitely. The cheapest pack costs 0.004 € per token; larger packs cost less per token.
How long does the solver take?
On the free plan, a typical music school with 10–30 students gets a complete schedule in about 3 to 10 minutes. With a token pack the underlying solve is faster — about 45 seconds to 7 minutes of actual computation, measured on real production solves, not estimated. You configure the maximum time yourself in the plugin settings.
Is a token pack a subscription?
No. Token packs are a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription — there is nothing to cancel and no auto-renewal. You simply buy more tokens whenever your balance runs low.
Does it work with multi-week patterns?
Yes. Students can enter availability patterns of 1–4 weeks. The solver takes rotating availability into account when building the schedule.
Who is responsible for checking the generated schedule?
stundenplan-berechnen.de is a planning aid, not an authority on supervision duties or room allocation. The solver output is a proposal that must be reviewed by a human before publication — always check the generated schedule for plausibility before relying on it.
Is there a data processing agreement (DPA) for the hosted solver?
Yes. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR governs all data sent to the hosted solver. Contact us to receive a signed copy before going live with the SaaS solver.
Is my student data safe?
Student availability data (numeric user IDs and time preferences) is transmitted to the CBTT Solver server solely for timetable calculation. No names, contact details, or other personal information are sent — only the anonymous numeric IDs that WordPress assigns internally.
Self-hosted solver (recommended): If you run the solver on your own server, numeric IDs cannot be linked to real identities by any third party. This option provides the highest level of data protection and we recommend it for schools subject to strict privacy regulations.
SaaS solver (hosted by Cornelius Berger): When using our hosted solver, numeric IDs are processed on our servers and deleted immediately after the calculation. To further reduce risk, we recommend using pseudonyms or first names only as WordPress display names, so that even if an ID were ever linked back to a user account, no full identity is exposed.
A data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is available on request and covers all data transferred to the hosted solver.
